Platform Integrations & Data Use
Last updated: May 20, 2026
This page explains what Lawgical does, how our social platform integrations work, what data we request, and how that data is used to improve lead response, intake, and follow-up for law firms.
Lawgical is a communications, intake, and workflow platform built for law firms. It helps firms respond to inbound leads across channels such as web forms, calls, SMS, and social media direct messages, then keeps those conversations organized inside one shared system.
Our social integrations exist so firms can respond faster, avoid missed leads, keep a complete conversation timeline, and route inquiries into the correct intake or follow-up workflow. We use the minimum platform data needed to power those features, and we do not sell social platform data.
Reviewer shortcuts: Facebook and Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X.
How Lawgical works
Lawgical helps law firms manage the full lead-response lifecycle. Depending on the firm's configuration, our product may:
- receive inbound direct messages or replies from supported social channels,
- present those messages to firm staff in a shared inbox or lead timeline,
- suggest or send responses based on the firm's configured workflows,
- ask follow-up intake questions to qualify a lead,
- tag, summarize, and route the conversation to the right team or matter type,
- connect the conversation to the firm's CRM or internal intake records for follow-up.
We use data from platform integrations only to provide these product features, maintain account security, support troubleshooting, generate conversation history and operational analytics for the law firm, and improve workflow accuracy inside the customer's own environment.
General data handling principles
- We only request scopes that are reasonably necessary for the integration features a customer enables.
- We use tokens and platform data on the server side and limit internal access by role and purpose.
- We do not sell social platform data to third parties.
- We do not use one law firm's identifiable conversation data to train a general-purpose model for unrelated customers.
- Connected law firms can disconnect an integration, at which point new access stops unless reauthorized.
Facebook and Instagram
What this integration does
This integration allows a law firm to connect its Facebook Page and or Instagram professional account so Lawgical can help manage inbound conversations, comments, and follow-up from those channels in the same place as the firm's other intake activity.
Scopes we may request
- Basic account and profile access to identify the connected business account and show it correctly inside Lawgical.
- Messaging permissions so Lawgical can read incoming messages and send replies on behalf of the connected business.
- Page or account management metadata permissions so we can verify the account connection and maintain the integration.
- Engagement-related permissions where needed to view conversation context tied to comments, message entry points, or business messaging activity.
In Meta terminology, these may include platform permissions such as instagram_manage_messages, pages_manage_metadata, pages_messaging, and related business account permissions, depending on the exact features enabled in the customer's configuration.
Data we receive
- Business account identifiers and account metadata,
- message content sent to the connected Page or Instagram account,
- conversation timestamps and sender platform identifiers,
- message status and limited conversation context needed to reply correctly,
- attachments or media metadata when included in a supported conversation.
How we use that data
- Display inbound conversations to authorized law firm staff inside Lawgical,
- send replies, follow-up questions, or handoff messages on behalf of the connected business,
- create or update lead records and unify the conversation with the firm's wider intake timeline,
- generate summaries, routing tags, and internal notes for the firm,
- monitor message delivery, operational errors, and system health.
What we do not do
We do not use Facebook or Instagram data for unrelated advertising resale, data brokerage, or any purpose outside the connected law firm's communication and intake workflows.
TikTok
What this integration does
The TikTok integration allows a law firm using Lawgical to manage inbound TikTok conversations as part of its lead-intake workflow. The primary use case is receiving and responding to TikTok direct messages, then routing those conversations into Lawgical so the firm can follow up quickly and consistently.
Scopes we may request
- Basic profile access so we can identify the connected TikTok account and complete user authorization.
- Direct-message-related access so Lawgical can receive permitted TikTok message data and help the firm respond within approved workflows.
- Account or integration management access where needed to maintain the connection, refresh tokens, and keep the integration operational.
Depending on the exact TikTok product and review configuration, this may include scope categories such as user.info.basic, portability.directmessages.single, and portability.directmessages.ongoing, along with any other TikTok direct-message related permissions made available in the developer portal for approved messaging use cases.
Data we receive
- Connected account identification details needed for authorization and account linking,
- inbound direct message content and related conversation metadata when available through the approved integration,
- sender platform identifiers, timestamps, and limited thread context needed to avoid duplicate or incorrect replies,
- delivery or status information needed for support, troubleshooting, and workflow reliability.
How we use that data
- Show TikTok DMs inside Lawgical so authorized law firm staff can review and act on them,
- support fast responses, structured intake questions, and lead qualification workflows,
- generate summaries, tags, and internal follow-up tasks for the firm,
- keep one cross-channel lead record when the same person later calls, fills a form, or messages elsewhere,
- maintain auditability of who replied, when they replied, and what follow-up happened next.
Why this improves user experience
Many legal leads first reach out through social media and expect a prompt response. By connecting TikTok, firms can reduce missed inquiries, respond within a consistent intake process, and avoid losing context when a conversation moves from TikTok to phone, SMS, or email.
What we do not do
We do not request TikTok data for consumer profiling, resale, or unrelated marketing purposes. Our use is limited to authorized messaging, intake, support, analytics, and operational reliability for the connected law firm's account.
What this integration does
The LinkedIn integration supports business identity, social publishing, and inbound engagement workflows for law firms that use LinkedIn as part of their marketing and lead-generation process.
Scopes we may request
- Basic profile access to identify the authenticated member or connected business presence.
- Email access when needed for account linking, verification, or administrative notices tied to the integration.
- Posting or social management permissions when a firm enables LinkedIn publishing or engagement workflows inside Lawgical.
- Organization-level permissions if a firm connects a company page and enables organization publishing or analytics workflows.
Depending on the enabled feature set, this may include scopes such as profile, email, w_member_social, and other approved organization or community management permissions.
Data we receive
- Authenticated profile or organization identification data,
- basic account metadata needed to display the connected integration correctly,
- content publishing status, post metadata, or engagement-related data when those features are enabled,
- limited administrative contact data tied to the connected account.
How we use that data
- Connect the correct LinkedIn identity or organization to the law firm's Lawgical workspace,
- support content publishing and related workflow automation where enabled,
- track engagement results at a high level so firms can understand which activity generated interest,
- tie relevant inbound engagement back to the firm's broader marketing and intake workflows.
What we do not do
We do not use LinkedIn data for unrelated scraping, resale, or background profiling beyond the limited functions needed for the connected law firm's authorized workflow.
X
What this integration does
The X integration allows a law firm to manage direct-message based outreach or inbound inquiries and keep those conversations visible inside Lawgical alongside other lead channels.
Scopes we may request
- User identity access to identify the connected account and complete authorization.
- Direct message read access so Lawgical can retrieve inbound conversation content where permitted.
- Direct message write access so Lawgical can send replies or follow-up messages on behalf of the connected account.
- Token refresh access where available so the integration can remain connected without repeated manual setup.
In X's OAuth terminology, this may include scopes such as users.read, dm.read, dm.write, and offline.access, depending on the customer's approved workflow.
Data we receive
- Connected account identifiers and profile metadata needed for authorization,
- inbound DM content and timestamps,
- recipient or sender platform identifiers needed to route messages correctly,
- limited status and operational metadata related to sending, receiving, or troubleshooting DMs.
How we use that data
- Present inbound conversations to the connected law firm inside Lawgical,
- send replies or structured follow-up messages within the firm's configured workflow,
- store conversation history, summaries, and lead qualification notes for the firm,
- support operational analytics such as response timing, assignment, and follow-up completion.
What we do not do
We do not use X direct-message data for unrelated advertising or third-party resale. Use is limited to the communication workflow authorized by the connected law firm.
